I remember the girls all gasping in shock, and Joe Kennedy saying, "no, no it's all right, I will answer the question", but then snapped and said " I wont until you wipe the smile off your face" . I went to Cathedral for my freshman year, and remember him being there... Left Springfield after graduating from Classical in 1983. I don't gat back to visit much, so I love this blog. Also, that coffee pot couldn't have been a silo. Notice the taper. More likely, it was built as a coffee pot. There's one similar on the Lincoln Highway in Pennsylvania. He attended local meetings and events sometimes in an orange prison jumpsuit and leather jacket. I believe he had a lot of inside knowledge of political corruption in Springfield, and maybe more of it will be revealed as it is updated, but yes, the randomness of some of his notes (his meals, obscure facts etc.) is rather strange. I check on it from time to time (it's updated in bunches) so I guess it has drawn me in! I wouldn't call it compelling, but it can be interesting at times.Hell's Acresnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436846479279507747.post-21011074764356580622015-10-02T13:43:09.803-04:002015-10-02T13:43:09.803-04:00Beth Carroll looks fantastic! I remember watching Lynn Barry on one of the many evening news broadcasts in the and wondered who did her makeup every day.

The Baystate Objectivist Blog links to a post from "The Diary of J. Wesley Miller." I tripped upon that blog a few years ago. Do you have any idea what it's about? It seems so random. I'm surprised that it's still being updated, but obviously the author has a story to tell.

Agawamiannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436846479279507747.post-42965070039858635242015-10-02T11:59:22.785-04:002015-10-02T11:59:22.785-04:00you're right it was joe....i was egged on by d...you're right it was joe....i was egged on by don singleman i think.....i asked the question in all seriousness....but then someone behind me said something that made me laugh...and it was all over....would do it again in a second to get a rise out of those nuns....almost as good as when two popes died within a couple of months of each other....we rode the nuns hard....paybackjim crockernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8436846479279507747.post-91562346878044277772015-10-01T14:51:00.232-04:002015-10-01T14:51:00.232-04:00Oh my God, Jim, I remember when you asked that que...Oh my God, Jim, I remember when you asked that question of JOE Kennedy and the audience said, "Oooh!" The assembly was basically his campaign stop for his uncle and boy did he blow up. "How dare you ask a question like that and then laugh?" he asked. You had mentioned something about Ted panicking in a crisis as well, and he yelled something like, "That was a terrible, terrible tragedy for the Kopechne family and blah, blah, blah!" I always wondered who that student was lol.

The audience cheered after his tantrum, but in truth Chappaquiddick cost Ted the election.
