Not Coming Soon: A Drive-In Theater Near You

My memories of The Parkway drive in date back to 1969 when my father bought a house on Parker St. near the Boston / Parker intersection. We would go 5-6 times each somer. When I got my license I would go whenever they showed Horror movies. I’m not sure if it was the Parkway, but my buddy’s father took us to see a very cool triple feature - Live and Let Die, The Mechanic & Across 110th Street. That was a great night of movies we still talk about. Another very cool night was The Incredible Melting Man, Burial Ground & The Gates of Hell.
Going to the Drive-in these days takes a lot longer ride and it’s just not the same. Wishing I could go back in time.
