An Indian Orchard Cold Case, Part 2: A Person of Interest?

Above: Karen and her daughter, Jenna

After the murder of Karen Soucie, the case got cold quickly—pretty much immediately—because the cause of her death was unknown at first. Found in a full bathtub on November 3, 2000, it would be five months before the medical examiner told police that there was evidence of blunt trauma to the neck and chest, according to the autopsy, so then it was listed as a homicide.

And that, as far as we can tell, was just about the only evidence in the case for nearly two dozen years, other than the fact that there was no signs of forced entry into her Indian Orchard apartment, so the assailant was possibly someone she knew. It is unknown if DNA other than Karen’s was found at the apartment and preserved—but this is probably unlikely, since it wasn’t really a crime scene at first, with no signs that she had been slain.

Friends, family members, and Karen’s co-workers at Milton Bradley were unable to give police enough information to go on for anything substantial enough for a break in the case. If it were an instance of relationship violence, what clouds the picture is that she never brought home anyone she was dating who was important enough to introduce him—or even mention himto her family.

But now, thanks to the advocacy of Karen’s daughter, Jenna Soucie-Moore, it has recently come to light that Karen might have been the girlfriend of a man in his mid-twenties in 2000. “Just following the bread crumbs,” said Jenna. This particular bread crumb trail has indeed proven productive: in the past, Jenna had the name of at least one other paramour of her mother’s, but not her boyfriend at the time of her death.

I’m going to refrain from mentioning his name here because, well, I don’t want to be sued! And I have to respect the fact that even though he was possibly dating her, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Karen could have met up with a different guy that night—a stranger, a friend, a past flame—who knows? Or maybe a dirtbag followed her home and pushed her into her apartment after she unlocked her door, and the possible boyfriend knows absolutely nothing about it.

Still, Jenna would like to contact the possible boyfriend to glean any information he might have—especially who Karen might have socialized with during that time period, and possibly her whereabouts the night she was killed. For the moment, she’ll take any info she can get about him—including photos—and how to find him.

Karen's possible boyfriend lived near her Berkshire Street apartment, possibly in the mid- to late-1990s until 2001-02. He might have black hair and blue eyes, and frequented Indian Orchard bars like Potbelly’s (153 Main Street) and Christy’s (278 Main Street), as did Karen, where she liked to play darts and shoot pool. He was 23-26 years old, which would make him 46-49 now. Karen was more than a bit older than him, but Jenna said she sometimes went out with younger guys.

Indeed, what Jenna did learn over the years is that Karen, after she was divorced from Jenna’s father, was a social butterfly who liked to party, and was possibly killed on Halloween, when there is an uptick in bar nightlife. If she did go out that night, maybe somebody saw something, and Jenna will be happy with even the smallest details, because they might lead to bigger ones.

*  *  *  *  *  *

Jenna has come up with this lead because of dogged determination—and the help of a small group she calls “Karen’s Warriors.” They feed her tips. They comment on and share her social media posts. “Karen’s Warriors are real,” said Jenna, proudly. I, Hell’s Acres, would like to think of myself as an honorary member of Karen’s Warriors, but I came into this late in the game, when Jenna already began turning up the volume. However, she has assured me that it’s never too late join—in fact, she insists that me coming on board when the cold case is heating up may help produce tangible results because I have a following despite the fact that I write the blog anonymously.

I also consider Jenna a friend—a truly nice person who suffers from c-PTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) because of childhood abuse (mental and emotional), and at 12 years old being crushed by the trauma of her mother’s murder. She simply did not deserve the hand she has been dealt with. But rather than becoming resigned to being a victim, she became a fighter. And she wasn’t born with that fighting spirit. She learned it from her mother.

*  *  *  *  *  *

As a child, Jenna was beaten down with intolerable abuse by one of her stepmothers she lived with. She was isolated for months on end and sometimes starved. In what can be accurately described as a bleak, Cinderella-like existence, she was forced to do never-ending household chores. “And if I fucked up, I knew what was coming,” she said. What was coming was a beating. However, as the abuse progressed, and got worse, not only did the Springfield Public School System start to figure it out, but so did her mother.

She and her brother lived with her father and her stepmother in Springfield, and one time she was allowed a weekend sleepover at Karen’s apartment.

“Mom saw right through my lies—my cover story, my protective behavior for my abuser,” she said. “Mom, a child of abuse, was quick to pick up the signs. She saw how skinny, bruised, and broken I was.”

At the end of the weekend, Karen drove her daughter home, knowing that Jenna had plans to go to a friend’s house that day. Karen staked out her daughter’s house, waited for Jenna and Jenna’s father to leave, and then stormed through the door, waved a knife at the stepmother, and said, “If you lay your hands on my kid again, I will kill you myself!”

Although this story is one of a mother’s love, Karen did something else for her daughter that day. It’s best to let Jenna tell the rest, because she is a skilled writer, especially when it comes to telling people about her crusade for justice:

“When I walked into that door, with cops everywhere, and the chaos, amongst it all, I couldn’t help but notice the fear in my stepmother’s face. She was terrified my mom was literally going to kill her. She was crying to cops, I mean the fear in her, that weakness—I had never seen that side of her before.

“My mom knew that her words were not powerful enough to break the abuse control this stepmother had over my psyche. So, she showed me that even the biggest monsters in life have weakness, and it’s okay to stand up to her. I mean, I was watching her sob to the cops. She was pitiful. Not long after this, I stood up against my abuser. I fought back, because I remembered her weakness was in there. I had seen it for myself. I finally told the truth, I stopped protecting my abuser. I was removed and placed into foster care.

“My mom literally saved my life that day. She showed me no matter what, don’t forget that fighter in you, even when you’re scared. She taught me even the biggest monsters have weaknesses. It’s a lesson I never forgot. It’s a lesson I integrated into my life after I was saved from my situation. I suppose that today I use that same lesson my mom instilled in me: to fight the fight against those that took her life. To say even in the darkest hours—girl, we get up, every day, and we fight back.

I never got to thank my mom for saving my life the way she did—for turning me into a survivor and not just becoming another victim of child abuse. So mom, thank you, as I intend to use that same survivor/ fighting spirit energy into your case—to be your voice.”

*  *  *  *  *  *

While writing about her mother’s warrior spirit may be somewhat therapeutic for Jenna, make no mistake, having her life on display is difficult for her. “Being someone who’s always been so private about my hardships, this one definitely hits at the top of the list,” she said “My family and I have been fighting for 20 years, behind a curtain for so long—and now it’s out there. Constantly posting something that literally talks about how my mom was murdered kills me. I wish it was so different. I am on a rollercoaster of emotions.”

Jenna has suffered from nightmares, lack of sleep, and anxiety while fighting this fight. At one point, she deactivated her Facebook page—her main vehicle to spread the word—because of blowback over her efforts. It wasn’t long—a few days—before she felt her mother picking her back up, and she resumed.

Also making it difficult, she pointed out, is that the “defund the police” movement after the George Floyd murder had a negative effect on cold case investigations. It’s not as if the Springfield Police Department budget was slashed or anything, but Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood did say earlier this year that her force is in a “fragile” state because it is short-handed. After the racial justice protests, law enforcement recruitment and retention is a problem nationwide, and the Springfield department at the time of the interview was short more than two dozen people.

Not helping things recently is the fact that Springfield has a record-breaking 29 homicides this year, straining their investigative manpower.

“They have no resources,” said Jenna. “My mom’s case has ME—to send them strong enough leads, and they look into them.”

Yet she is heartened by the grassroots support she has been getting—especially lately. When she has her doubts, Jenna’s Warriors keep her humble and at the same time make her more resolute. On social media, she said, “every share counts” and “helps ignite the fire that is in me. I promise, until the day I die, to fight for her justice. I will never give up till her murderer is off the streets.”

Those with any information about the case—no matter how small, or how insignificant it may seem—should call the Springfield Police Homicide Unit at 413-787-6355. People can also provide information anonymously through Text-a-Tip by texting the word CRIMES (2-7-4-6-3-7) and typing the word SOLVE followed by the information.

Wasn’t Lumpy the same age and lived in the same general area? Just saying, maybe he was an angry dude.

Wasn’t there a guy from Agawam that got caught for something similar years ago? I might be imagining this, but I recall a story where a guy would choke the girls he was sleeping with and then actually killed a few of them. Seeing it was a sexual story, it could’ve been kids joking around. Figured I’d toss that out there.

Agawamian said...

Never heard the story about the guy in Agawam. Do you have more details?

Hell’s Acres said...

I think he might have been referring to the Lisa Ziegert murder.

Anonymous said...

I could be wrong. This was the first time I recalled hearing the term Erotic Asphyxiation. Maybe Southwick and I think they tried to hide the body in the back yard. This was 25-30 years ago.

Anonymous said...

It’s not Ziegert that case and from asking friends they recall it too. They thought that the guy was bi-sexual and killed both male and female lovers. My friends say they thought someone was killing fragile looking women, Tammy L, Lisa Z, Karen S and Ashley T. with only one case being solved because the guy has mental issues, not because of old fashion honest police work. Wasn’t a female body also found in 5-mile pond? Or was that Alfred G who was responsible?

Anonymous said...

Also trying to find these old stories is next to impossible, the interweb sucks. There was lots of cross traffic to area bars years ago, gas was cheaper and so were drinks, if you were looking to pick up chicks it was pretty easy. You just need a mildy friendly personality, spending a couple bucks and being attractive helps too. The light house in ludlow used to have .50 cent drafts. PBR I believe

Agawamian said...

You're not talking about the dominatrix in Attleboro (?) who had a client die and instead of just calling the police she tried to dispose of the body herself. This was probably 25+ years ago.

I always sound like a jerk when I ask this stuff, but did anyone try calling the phone number listed James M that used to live at 97 Holly st Indian orchard, MA? The number was recently verified oct 2023. He’s 48 born 1975.

Ricky said...

I sent the info I found to Jenna, I hope this guy answers her call. If he doesn’t, maybe we could ask his younger brother who still lives in springfield?

Ricky said...

I’m pretty positive I played high school soccer with this guys younger brother. Could be his cousin, but I knew something sounded oddly familiar about that name. I hope one of them can help in some way or point you all in the right direction.

Anonymous said...

Why do you guys always leave us hanging on these very interesting notes?
Ricky never responded to those last questions, now he’s on to another case where he probably knows half the people involved? Coincidence or full of it?

Anonymous said...

Why did it take five months before the medical examiner told police that there was evidence of blunt trauma to the neck and chest, according to the autopsy, so then it was listed as a homicide.? If the medical examiner told the police sooner like days, the police could of check for DNA besides Karnes's wondering why in the first place, why the police did not have the coroner check her at her home? The police cannot say if it was a homicide or not because they can't tell by just looking at Karen.

Ricky said...

I only wrote Hell’s Acres to start talking about Tammy, I was hoping more people would share stories about her. That obviously didn’t workout how I had hoped. Now there’s another local girl hoping to learn about her mom, why shouldn’t I offer up what I remember?

I thought the whole point of this blog is to share local stories?

We always had nicknames for people, so it’s pretty hard to figure out who you’re talking about half the time. James was called Jimmy back then. He went to central. I don’t know when he graduated, but he was there while I was at Putnam.

I’ve never hung-out with Jimmy, so I can’t help with contacting him or share anything about him, but I have reached out to mutual people we know. If these guys can put you guys in touch with him, I’m sure they will.

Why were these kids put in foster care In Connecticut? I’ve never heard of kids being taken away from an abusive step-parent and then not being allowed to move in with another blood relative, you know like their mom??? Seems like there’s a lot you’re purposely leaving out.

Anonymous said...

Your comment only reveals how far your head is up your @ss. You accuse the author of purposely leaving out details that are just not germaine to a murder case? How about those facts may be extremely private and would only be a reminder of that pain? So, are you intentionally being an idiot?

Anonymous said...

Germaine?

Anonymous said...

Fuck this… you guys are idiots. No one said Karen was guilty of shit. Not being able to see your kids all the time can really fuck a person up. First post said kids live in CT and this one says springfield, MA. How fucking upset was this lady because of all this fucking shit??? Got an answer??? Your kids abused by a step cunt and there shit you can do about then they get shipped the fuck off… I’d be pretty fucking crazed myself maybe even do stupid shit I normally wouldn’t do.

Anonymous said...

Is the tool from above going to spell check that last comment? Lot more for you to feel good about yourself in there than commenting on germaine vs. germane.

Anonymous said...

I know they said she was murdered cause of blunt force trama to neck and chest but that doesn’t make sense to me. If she was dead for days and found naked in a full bathtub why wasn’t there any bruising? If she was strangled or punched you would know but if she fell and hit a broad area plus if she was on drugs or drunk would alter bruising. That full house guy saget fell and smashed his skull to pieces and made it to bed and then died. Maybe someone helped her into the bath after falling and is scared to say something?

Anonymous said...

I only asked what they meant by “Germaine”, I honestly didn’t know and still had to look up germane. lol

Anonymous said...

Come on guys. Be real. What difference does it make? Was she suffering from drug or alcohol abuse. yes, no, maybe?
Also I am pretty sure the answer to why the kids weren’t allowed to live with Karen has already been written above.
Mom pulling a knife on stepmom probably didn’t sit well with child services. She should have reported the abuse and not took matters into her own hands. Not judging, just saying it probably didn’t help.
How bold was that abusive stepmom to call the cops on someone protecting her own daughter and then cry about it? Wtf

Anonymous said...

No that sounds like a Craig’s list kinda death. It come to me,

Anonymous said...

Why does everyone in these blogs get mad when people ask questions? A lot of stuff makes sense to explore. Knowing if she used drugs or not would help identify anyone she was spending time with and after 20 plus years it might help jog peoples memories. Being killed is far worse to talk about than someone’s substance issues.

Anonymous said...

I know you haven’t seen the autopsy report, yet I’m still curious and have to ask. After the medical examiner was able to identify that Karen suffered blunt force trauma, did he perform any tests to check for semen? Knowing if she was intimate with someone before she died would help. Also can you establish how thorough her body was examined? There’s nothing saying her finger nails were tested for DNA, you also don’t tell us if she was buried or cremated. I find the thought of exhuming loved ones unsettling, but in cases like Karen and Tammy, how can loved ones not think about the possibility of evidence still surviving.

Anonymous said...

Can anyone help with a timeline, I know you think she might have died around Halloween. Has anyone seen a copy of her time card from work? Was she reported as a no-show for work at all? Was she even scheduled to work that week?
Did she have roommates at any point leading up to her death?
Was she on any dart or pool teams or did she just like to play while at the bar?

Hell’s Acres said...

We think she might have been on pool and dart teams. Potbelly’s had a pool team.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone gone back to the landlord and asked more probing questions?
This event had to have traumatized him in some way, memories tend to be stronger in these situations.
Plus he would have the names of fellow renters.
Who cleaned out Karen’s apartment after she was found? I assume that place was rented by December, considering there was no investigation at that point.

Anonymous said...

Have you reached out to the James M that still lives in Indian orchard? I know he’s older but perhaps he might have known Karen?

Anonymous said...

Karen’s old apartment is a 3 unit building. Were the other 2 apartments rented at the time of Karen’s death?

What about rent, did she pay for November or was the landlord coming by cause she was a couple days late? Was anyone in a rush to get things cleaned?

Anonymous said...

That rent question got me thinking, a little white lie might not seem like a big deal, but could matter.
Are we positive the landlord didn’t unlock the door and start snooping? If she owed rent he might’ve really wanted it.
The fact there was no visible bruising would seem to indicate she wasn’t assaulted with a fist. A larger object is more likely to cause subdermal trama, with minimal ecchymosis (bruising) and there is no mention of any contusions.
There should be a time limit for police. They fail to solve a case and the family can have access to the file after so many years.
This is similar to that Doris Alzak case from 2011, nothing is being done and no information is being shared to help try to solve her case either.

Anonymous said...

Your scenario screams hypothermia related death. Whatever injuries she sustained before getting into that full bathtub, along with alcohol intoxication, would have made her situation so much worse than people imagine, especially if she lost consciousness. There are countless stories of how peaceful people feel before dying from hypothermia and water just speeds up the process.

Unless you’re suggesting she was placed in the bathtub postmortem?

Hell’s Acres said...

The cause of death was determined to be blunt trauma, according to the DA.

Anonymous said...

There would have been visible signs if she was punched, kicked or hit with any type of weapon. The fact that those first responders didn’t document such injures seems suspicious. I hope they give you better answers one day.

Wow! That anonymous dude had a lot to say then got real quiet .. What a dickhead! Can TOTALLY tell who the coward is on this post!

Kelly said...

Also my name is Kelly.. I’m the one that called the anonymous dude a dickhead and a coward.

Anonymous said...

I know you can’t name names. Maybe you can still help readers out. Is the main suspect in Karens case a police officer or state trooper?

You guys are describing the same type injuries that have been sustained while being restrained, during arrests, countless times over the years. Karen wasn’t struck and didn’t fall, there isn’t any mention of abrasions to her skin. If she was drinking, there is a higher likelihood of death in these restraint situations.

With advances in touch DNA, have you considered reaching out to cold case investigators. If your suspect ever had contact with Karen’s case file, it would still be there. This 5 month gap in reporting her murder is quite peculiar and I would start my search there.

I wouldn’t blame people for being terrified to come forward. Calling people cowards won’t get them to stand up for what is right or encourage them to stand by your side in your pursuit of justice.

Do you know if this suspect ever bounced at any of those local bars? I know they used to pay cash for door help during holidays and special events. Halloween was an estimated day of death.

Did Karen ever date this suspect? You write that she might have started dating someone else before her death. Was she ever seen with this suspect outside the bar? I know you say she didn’t mention her personal life, but maybe someone saw something?

Was Karen cremated or buried? Like I mentioned, touch DNA has also advanced to the point where a sample can be taken from almost anything, including her fingernails themselves. Even if someone were to clean under them, there is a high probability that evidence still exists of her defending herself in her fingernails.

If Karen’s killer is reading this, I’d like you to know that; Evidence is like a warrant, it’s always there. It might not matter today, but it might make all the difference tomorrow.

Not a cop. Last known “bf” is a James that lived on holly st indian orchard. He was 25 she was 38. Hung out at pot belly’s and Christie’s on the regular. Not to mention they lived a block from each other. Walking distance.

Jenna Moore said...

Boyfriend is steep….. let me rewrite that one. Said James told his best friend, they were boyfriend and girlfriend but knowing my mom with the age difference, he was just a toy.

Jenna Moore said...

My brother and myself were 12-14. We have our own memories as well. We were old enough to understand the reality. Maintained a relationship with our mother , till her death. I know the internet likes to speculate on cases. But I assure you, it’s just noise in mom’s case. The facts are the facts.

Anonymous said...

Nothing you have said contradicts anything speculated above. In fact, it adds validity to these theories and warrants further investigation.

Reading Massachusetts General Laws Part 1, Title VI, Chapter 38, Sections 3 & 4 may help you understand why I find the things written about this case to be highly irregular.

Jenna Moore said...

I cannot explain why the DA’s office at the time, did what they did. I can tell you every case is different in its own way, and in any way they decided to go about it, we agreed….. It’s as simple as that.

I do however can clarify to the public, from personal experience, being it’s my mom and all. That from the beginning, as in day ONE, I was told it was homicide.

We knew right away.

If that helps clarify any confusion here. How the cops decided to go about their investigation was their call, It isn’t something I’ll be able to ever explain.

Although it seems on paper or newspapers or public information….. that there were “delays”, I promise you, there wasn’t.

Ever.

Hopefully this helps with any questioning regarding the 5 month “delay” in autopsy reporting.

Jenna Moore said...

I also would like to remind the public, media coverage is controlled. They can only cover what they’ve been told. So don’t get caught up in the irregularities in the reporting of moms case.

Anonymous said...

Law Enforcement isn’t required to inform citizens of any threats to public safety. There could be murderers and rapists running amok and officials are allowed to withhold that information.

That is irrelevant in this situation.

What you’ve recently commented completely contradicts everything said in the very first paragraph of this blog post, dated November 26, 2023.

“Found in a full bathtub on November 3, 2000, it would be five months before the medical examiner told police that there was evidence of blunt trauma to the neck and chest, according to the Police autopsy, so then it was listed as a homicide. “

Thank you for correcting that glaring mistake made Hell’s Acres.

Yes please, I would love to know more about those remarks. I’ve met some pretty wild older women myself years ago. The bars were crawling with horny drunk ladies ready to get down whenever and wherever. I’ve had sex in so many local bar bathrooms it’s ridiculous, in back seat of random girls cars in the bar parking lot, there were times we didn’t even make it to the car and just ended up doing it in the parking lot, up against someone else’s car. My DNA is probably all over the place. I’ve save my sex in the graveyard stories for the paranormal blogs. I’m not joking, older women are insatiable. lol

Sounds like the police questioned this guy while he was drunk. 🥴

I recon they told him not to attend her funeral as well.

Confessions and statements made under duress, can’t be used in Massachusetts courts. 🚫

Guy talks to police without council? Probably had a few drinks in him and detectives tried with all their might to twist this dudes words. Didn’t work, so innocent guy moves on with his life. 😇

No one believes this nice guy was caught off guard by detectives informing him his friend with benefits passed away unexpectedly? 🤔

You can’t accuse people of murder and back it up with hypothetical scenarios. 📖

If he’s not nice and what you’re saying was true, then this dude would be planning on taking a trip to South America or South East Asia. Cosmetic surgery is cheap in Brazil and South Korea. He may soon be a She. 😮

This is the internet. 🛜 people can just say whatever they want and not back it up with any scientific evidence. Flat earthers, paranormal investigators, hollow earth theorists, alien abductees, men in black and so on. 🛸

Who’s being accused? I’m confused…. You know who I’m talking about?

Hell’s Acres said...

Your first assertion that he was questioned while drunk. Why would you think that? Nothing was said that would lead anyone to believe this.

Second assertion: police attend funerals and wakes of homicide victims to see how people behave and to take down plate numbers. Them telling the guy not to go doesn’t make sense.

You mentioned an unrelated local case I’ve written about. You’re a troll. Mommy I’m hungry! Make me dinner while I taunt people on my phone!

Anonymous said...

So because I read your stories, I’m a troll?

Because I ask questions about things that don’t make sense, I’m a troll?

People write comments half English and half who the f knows and I’m the troll?

You ignore anyone you doesn’t agree with you. and I’m the troll?

Hell’s Acres said...

So what do you have to add to this? What’s your theory on the murder?

Anonymous said...

You seem really, really new to this. Law enforcement has been preserving evidence in cases since long before you were born. 🍼

Police would have already arrested him, if there was any evidence at all to support your claim he killed her. There is zero 👌🏻0️⃣.

People can’t even have a rational conversation with you. You don’t want Justice, you want revenge. 😡

Hell’s Acres said...

Advances in DNA analysis since 2000 are totally lost on you. Friends who smarten up and talk are just, what did you call them? Unscrupulous uncos? And you seem to be really really fishing for information.

Hell’s Acres said...

If you are in law enforcement and if you think that this is advancing beyond your comfort level regarding your relative, you could be right!

Anonymous said...

Maybe this guy you’re accusing and naming all over the place has reasons for not being friends with these story telling people anymore. Ever think of that? No cause you want revenge

Maybe they friends ended up with drug and alcohol issues and he didn’t. So he had to give them the boot. These people are probably still suffering from the same issues, that’s why police can’t use their fake stories as evidence.
Did their stories change every time they told them? You probably didn’t pay attention cause you want revenge
What about motive? This guy doesn’t have one, he never did. You have a motive to accuse him, revenge

Hell’s Acres said...

I still think you’re a troll pretending to be a family member or friend of the guy we’re talking about. Give me some info to convince me otherwise.

Anonymous said...

Hell Acres use all the uncle bazooka timberland words you want. I won’t be trying to Zumba trump acorn pickle you back. Except for this one time, I didn’t want to disappoint u. 😘

I’m not telling you who I am, I don’t ask who you really are. You people love to attack anyone who has a question. You get especially angry when those questions poke holes in your hypothetical stories. 📖

You should be thanking me. 😊

Jenna Moore said...

Who are you talking about? No one has been named in mom’s case???

You seen some article somewhere they released??? that I didn’t see?

You’re making assumptions…… kiddo.

Anonymous said...

Seen some article. 🤣 Shame on you 🤣

Jenna Moore said...

Also don’t believe everything you’re told….. they got clean??? 🤣 when?

Still pumping out them lies I see 🤣🤣🤣.

Seems everyone is still stupid enough to keep believing them, without proof.

And I’m new to this???

Anonymous said...

I don’t think anyone needs to assume anything. You already told everyone everything they could possibly want to know, you guys aren’t very subtle. 😀
Even when you guys didn’t want to answer a question 🤫, that told everyone what they needed to know. I think a lot of people now are wondering why you keep saying all these things, they’re just afraid to say anything to you. 😱 You guy can be really mean. 🤬

Now me, I’m sticking with these stories for a totally different reason. 😀Wanna guess why? I’ll email you if post the correct answer, you just have to be close. 😉

Jenna Moore said...

Also we have the motive too, for the record, but you’re smart enough to know I won’t be releasing that one publicly…

Just like I know you’re not stupid enough to say who you’re referencing…

Heard of a drug test? Use one, lmk the results…. You’re being played and it isn’t by me.

Stay tuned you’ll all know soon enough

Anonymous said...

Exactly my point. These old friends telling stories are still suffering from addiction. I wouldn’t believe anything they said. 🚫

Anonymous said...

Come one people, I want to see those opinions here. Don’t text me, share it with everyone here

Jenna Moore said...

Go ahead, then it all goes public knowledge. Perhaps that’s my entire plan. 😘

You willing to bargain I don’t lie?

Anonymous said...

I believe that you lie all the time. You don’t have to prove anything to me

Anonymous said...

You’re sticking around cause your mom went out for the night and no one else wants to hangout with you?

Jenna Moore said...

Okay, I’ll dumb it down stupider 🙃. Drug test the one who claimed to dump those friends because of their addiction issues. Lmk the results

Jenna Moore said...

My mom went out one night? Where’d she go? I don’t know this story…

Hell’s Acres said...

Hey anonymous, do you have a friend in the room with narcan on him tonight? I guess we’ll know when when we stop hearing from you.

Hell’s Acres said...

Maybe he’ll finish that thought before he nods off

Hell’s Acres said...

Looks like anonymous passed out at 9:45 pm. Time for well-being check.

Jenna Moore said...

Try the drug test, it’ll prove who’s lying here.
I’ll wait…

Anonymous said...

I was guessing why he was sticking around. You guys do attack anyone who isn’t in your little group. Wow reading comprehension must not be a thing anymore.

Anonymous said...

Who fell asleep? I’m here watching Matthew Hopkins and John Stearne on their hunt. Seems they already have a conviction, they just need find that certain type of person to execute.

Anonymous said...

At least we stay on point. I must say that telling the true is a lot easier than telling your wild stories. I know you wish they were true. But that isn’t the case. This is all about vengeance and people here are totally fine at guessing who done it. That’s why we have laws preventing mob Justice and conviction without a trial. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Gaslighting anyone who crosses your path

Anonymous said...

Drug testing doesn’t prove anything. You can’t just round up all the crackheads, alcohols and meth heads and label them murders, that isn’t legal and doesn’t make any sense. Try again

Jenna Moore said...

So, back to the drug test?

Hell’s Acres said...

What makes you so sure new evidence and statements haven’t come in? And I still wonder: what’s your interest in this?

Jenna Moore said...

And when everyone finds out what I said is true… there’s laws for me too… two way street my friend.

Anonymous said...

For the same reason I know the earth isn’t flat. There is no new evidence and these statements from drug addict felons won’t hold up in court, that’s why charges can’t be filed. That is the problem here

Anonymous said...

The best you’re gonna get out of all this is, maybe, just maybe, is a conviction for failing to report and unattended death. From all of the stories you’ve been spreading around. I don’t see the DA going after anyone for that.

Hell’s Acres said...

Who said they were drug addicted felons? These threads are getting long now but I don’t remember this being acknowledged. Fill us in. You sound like a desperate lawyer discrediting witnesses.

Hell’s Acre said...

Unattended death with neck and chest trauma?

Anonymous said...

What witnesses? You have a bunch of he said, she said stories from 20 years ago. We live in a day and age where everybody wants their 15 minutes of fame and they’re willing to say whatever they have to, to get it.

Hell’s Acres said...

You know, I’d jump to a family member’s defense too..to a point.

Anonymous said...

Once again, reasonably and easily explained away already. You can claim whatever motive you want. Come up with anything your hearts desire, but you’re still going to have to prove it in court and that’s where this all falls apart

Anonymous said...

You aren’t most people. Do you watch the news and read the stories all over the internet these days?

Anonymous said...

This is exactly why we have a Justice system and not mob Justice. We use evidence to support our claims and not feelings or hunches. No one has a clue how those injuries occurred, do they?
Why do you all want it to be murder so badly?

Jenna Moore said...

Oh shit, you are intelligent. 🙃 Everything I’ve released publicly…. is all he said she said. That’s why I release it. The good shit comes out in court my friend.

You don’t think I’d be that dumb…. Contrary to your statement, I am NOT New to this.

All the post are just letting them know, how much I’m actually not lying and they know it. In response to threats and stupidity I’ve received.

What I release, publicly, is the exact things I can talk about. And it seems to have some people, questioning….

My job is done.

Hell’s Acres said...

Gee, could there possibly be information you don’t know about? Don’t worry…you’ll find out.

Anonymous said...

No i’m not still here because my mom went out for the night. You know I write most of these comments while I’m working. 😀

Anonymous said...

People are gonna find something out, that’s for sure.

Anonymous said...

And no that isn’t a threat, I just mean that people will find out what’s been going on behind closed doors soon enough.

Anonymous said...

It’s not a warning either, just a heads up

Jenna Moore said...

About time.

Anonymous said...

Your job is done, because you were wrong and your only logical option left if to stop. This isn’t personal. It’s factual

Anonymous said...

I have to agree with these anonymous people. If there was any truth to these claims about dna and people confessing. We would’ve heard a statement from police. Not from strangers on the net

Anonymous said...

I called it, just a of kids telling wild stories online.
You’re gonna have to do better than that to get us to believe your stories.

Anonymous said...

It’s right there for everyone to see, it’s not even kmhidden thst we’ll

Jenna Moore said...

You’re right, I made it all up. You caught me. Us damn kids.

Anonymous said...

Thankfully readers know that what you’re saying isn’t true. Springfield police would never give out information like that. Neck and chest trama, statements made during questioning. These are things that wouldn’t come out until trial. That means you’re lying

Anonymous said...

What is right there?

Anonymous said...

This entire scenario is crazy. You’re trying to claim some dude killed this lady and then posed her in the bath tub for someone else to find?

Anonymous said...

So many side conversations going on, I have to ageee with the group, there’s no way this dude took the time to clean everything up and pose this lady in a bath tub and then forget to clean his dna off of everything else he’s concerned about. If he took the time to pose her, he would’ve taken the time to make sure he had a plausible story to explain things away.

Anonymous said...

Where do people come up with this?

Police. We found your dna at her apartment.

Guy. Yeah I went there for a couple blumpkins.

Police .You expect use to believe that.

Guy, yeah it’s true

Police. Ok you’re free to go

Anonymous said...

The asininity of this all is unutterable. Spoiled little brats, throwing temper tantrums. Endless vituperating for all to enjoy.

Anonymous said...

This was just getting good and everyone passes out.

Anonymous said...

Censorship at its finest

Anonymous said...

I don’t know what’s more terrifying. The idea this guy you’re talking about is a killer and has been out free all these years doing god knows what.
Or the idea that you could be wrong and are accusing an innocent person.
I don’t like either

Anonymous said...

Why don’t any of you come down to potbelly’s? They got drinks and food. We could’ve yapped about the case.

Anonymous said...

It is so totally crazy that people don’t ask questions out in the open. It’s like they’re afraid to get attacked for paying attention. Isn’t that weird?

Anonymous said...

Can you imagine going to a funeral to pay your respects, then someone asks you how you know the deceased and your only answer is, I met her at potbelly pub and she wanted to have sex with me, so we did.
No wonder this guy didn’t go. Avoid any kinda weirdness. I feel strange having to point it out

Anonymous said...

Anyone ever notice how mentally unstable everyone around here seems? How long do you think they could talk in a room before a huge brawl broke out? Guys biting an scratching eat other

Anonymous said...

No ha ha that bitch ass didnt want to change. He’s such a homo, he’s no fun anymore

Anonymous said...

Figures no one can hang. Kids can only talk crap during the day.

Anonymous said...

It’s Palm Sunday, you guys might as well come clean.

Anonymous said...

Someone needs to talk to a manager. Police shouldn’t be telling anyone they have dna and statements to prove this lady was murdered, but we’re not going to arrest him, so you’ll have to go after him yourself.
Here have a look at this evidence to drive yourself insane while this guy walks free.
That doesn’t sound safe to me

Anonymous said...

Nothing worse than trying to have a conversation and everyone acts deranged and comes unhinged. Time to give things a rest and get a mental evaluation.

No defense lawyer is going to ignore this Karen’s violent history, along with any drug or alcohol issues she clearly had, you know, just cause the family is uncomfortable talking about her issues.
You already shared one story about Karen attacking someone, the reason doesn’t matter. It shows she wasn’t likely to call police to deal with problems. She liked to take the law into her own hands. She didn’t even bring her children to the emergency room to report this crime. She grabbed a weapon.
How many other people did Karen attack over the years? Probably a lot
Karen wasn’t reported missing or checked on for days. That implies that this was typical behavior for her.
How often did Karen miss work because she was hung over? Probably to many
The courts never take kids away from their moms. Crackhead loser moms win custody in court every day.
Why didn’t this mom win custody of her kids? Probably cause she was unfit.
Remember your story. Kids were abused, mom comes to save the day.
Kids get put in foster care. Why? Because Karen was an unfit mother, that’s why. She would rather have going out drinking and partying, than be a mother to her children. Sounds like she wasn’t a very responsible adult.
I’m sorry that Karen’s children were abused, but that’s doesn’t change the fact that Karen lost custody of her kids long before her ex husband met this abuser.
You can get mad and call me a troll all you’d like, but that’s doesn’t change that fact that rule 14 would give this guy access to any information the police already have on him, rule 17 would give this guy access to any 3rd party records he can get ahold of, that includes court records, medical records, time sheets and write ups from work, if they exist anymore.
How many times in the past did Karen refuse medical treatment? Was she the type of person that thought drs were idiots?
These questions aren’t for Karen’s children. I know they wouldn’t have first hand knowledge, so wouldn’t take the stand.
I don’t know why people keep bringing up taking drug tests. You can all smoke crack today and get arrested for an assault charge you’ve been dodging from 10 years ago and you know what? They can’t bring up your current drug use at trial, they are unrelated. One has no bearing on the other. A judge can order you to take drug tests and not use drugs before or during your trial, but a jury isn’t going to be told about that.
I may be wrong, you may be right, but it’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove. I don’t guess when it comes to peoples lives. That is why we find people guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The police may have more information they are holding for a rainy day, but that stuff isn’t listed in the blog or on Facebook.
Just a heads up for future replies. Getting mad at people for asking questions about all the things you have posted online, then calling them names and gaslighting them, is a tell. 🃏

Jenna Moore said...

It’s clear you know nothing of the situation, you’re making assumptions. Like everyone else.
People can spend a lifetime diving into murder victims history and always be let down to find out , no one is perfect. That does not justify one taking the life of another and living with it for 24 years. Your post really has no meaning.

Anonymous said...

Dear Whoever, I don’t know why you think you know what Springfield police would or would not say concerning Ms. Soucy’s injuries, but the fact is you are incorrect. I sat in a room with other family members and the ADA when we were told that “…Karen’s chest was crushed…”. I remember those words like I heard them yesterday. So, if you are in law enforcement, you’d better go back to your instruction material or notify the Springfield DA’s office that they are releasing information to families that may be jeopardizing their cases.

Michelle-Team Jenna ♥️ said...

Honestly stunned reading this exchange. We are talking about a murder victim and her young daughter working to find out what happened to her mom. I find those people attacking her and making negative statements about a woman that can no longer defend herself pretty pathetic. In my mind, this is one of two things. Either you are a troll just looking for an argument with anyone that will give you the time of day, or you are a bit nervous that Jenna is on to something so you are trying to give people the impression she doesn’t know what she is talking about. Obviously you aren’t just some random person, you are taking this too personally. Either way, attacking a murder victim that can’t defend herself, and her daughter that just wants answers about who murdered her mother is pretty pathetic.

Anonymous said...

24 years ago a young woman was killed. It may have been an accident when it happened, but actions by the one responsible after her death were calculated and deliberate in a attempt to make identification of the killer impossible. One of the beauties of science is that what was impossible yesterday will become standard practice tomorrow. There has never been a perfect crime where no evidence is left behind. If the culprit lives long enough, that evidence comes to light. The one thing that must be remembered is a life was taken. No matter the quality of that life, it was stolen from her by someone who had no right to it. The real danger in not bringing a killer to justice lies in not knowing the real circumstances surrounding that murder and not knowing if the killer is still a threat to society. To some, it may be vengeance; to society, it’s justice. There are far too many unsolved murders in this country, and that will ultimately result in additional loss of life. Any person sufficiently violent to take a life, without just cause, is a danger to everyone in contact with them. If taking them off the street is termed “vengeance”, I’ll accept that any day of the week.

Jenna Moore said...

I’d also like to know where it was said, my mom had a drug issue? Because I don’t see it anywhere….

Anonymous said...

The back and forth on this thread is just ridiculous. If someone has information that can push this case forward, then fantastic. If not, just stop. Speculation does nothing except fan the flames of rumors and rumors aren't evidence.

Anonymous said...

How far along was Karen?

Jenna Moore said...

You sound like you knew everything about her… what else you got in that room of secrets of yours? 🤣 internet trolls

Anonymous said...

There is a pretty good chance this guy was blackout drunk and doesn’t remember what happened. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve woken up butt ass naked at some sexy strange ladies house. No idea how I got there. These ladies would go on and on about how amazing it all was, I’d usually just have to take their word for it. We’d usually go at it some more, sometimes we’d shower together and then I’d take off. There are probably hundreds of adorable kids all over the USA that look just like me, one or two in Canada and Mexico. I make cute babies.
We all had to use cash back then, I would purposely leave all my money at home, so I wouldn’t have an excuse to drink. Ladies would buy me drinks and take advantage of me. Oh they bought me a drink, so I’d have to get freaky with them, not very nice but that is how it used to be. Darts were Tuesday and Thursday, pool was Monday and Wednesday. Those free drinks ruined way too many games for me and my teammates. I suck at pool anyway, dart were my jam.
